Our espresso coffee cup & saucer is entirely handmade and hand-painted in Deruta, Italy. Its maker is Fima, a well-known artisan who specializes in classic Italian pottery designs. The artisan’s signature is hand-painted on the bottom of each piece.
The pattern hand-painted on this small cup and its saucer is Raffaellesco, possibly the most popular Deruta ceramics design. It is named after Raphael, the Italian painter who introduced these decorations in many of his frescoes.
